Lemon Bay High School’s Abigayle Weinfeld signed a national letter of intent with Flagler College’s cross country and track team Monday.
The senior made her college intentions official just a few days after she won three first-place titles at the track and field district championships.
Weinfeld took home a win in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter races, and as part of a team in the 4×800 relay.
Flagler is a Division II school competing in the Peach Belt Conference. If Weinfeld matches her personal best 5k (3.1 miles) time of 18 minutes, 56.22 seconds next year, it would be good enough for 11th on the Saints’ all-time cross country list.
