BRYAN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Marc Jean-Louis was one of the easiest choices all season.
He had a week he’ll likely remember for the rest for his life, totaling 295 yards and four touchdowns in a Port Charlotte win. That total brought him to the No. 2 spot on the area rushing list with 584 on the season.
Also, his 295 yards is an single-week area-best, topping Maleek Williams 242 yards in week 6.
JORDAN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
My pick this week was an easy one: Port Charlotte’s Marc Jean-Louis.
The Pirates’ offense speedster put the team on his back whenever he touched the ball. He broke out for 295 yards on just nine carries and scored four touchdowns to help Port Charlotte rout Ida Baker 57-21 on the road for another district win to keep pace with Charlotte.
Oh, and all his scores came in the second half.
If he continues to play like that, there’s no reason why the Pirates won’t have a chance to upset the Tarpons in a few weeks.
