BOYS GOLF: Port Charlotte holds lead on strong day from Charlotte’s Brumbaugh

ROTONDA WEST — Charlotte’s Billy Brumbaugh had the best individual round, but Port Charlotte again posted the top team score in the second round of the boys Charlotte County Championship Wednesday afternoon at Long Marsh Golf Club.

Brumbaugh carded a 1-over-par 37 but couldn’t help the Tarpons gain ground on the Pirates, who had a team total of 182 from their four counting players. Charlotte had 183 and host Lemon Bay 192.
