FOOTBALL: Another big shutout win for Charlotte

CAPE CORAL — Despite playing in a torrential storm for most of the night on only four days of rest, Charlotte poured it on early and often against Ida Baker in District 6A-10 play Tuesday night.

Jayden Grant rushed for 107 yards and scored two first quarter touchdowns to set the pace for the Tarpons in a 45-0 road win over the Bulldogs. Charlotte tallied 409 yards total on the ground and outgained Ida Baker 478-36 to get over the .500 mark.
